Type: narrow-leaved evergreen tree 
Annual Growth Rate: 12 to 18 inches 

Comments: White Spruce is a densely, pyramidal spire with bluish-green needles . The tree is widely used for its site adaptability. It offers a beautiful spring show in the form of its 1.5" long cones, which sprout in the spring in bright magenta tones.

Cultivars: 

'Albertiana Conica' ('Conica') - Dwarf Alberta Spruce - A dense, cone-shaped plant with a very slow growth rate, reaching five feet high over a period of ten years or more.
 
'Densata' - Black Hills Spruce - Leaves light green to bluish-green; very similar in shape and density to the species.
